Holy Announcement is a presentation of various interpretations of Iz Maglow's modern paintings around the theme "Maria's Announcement". In Side Effects the artist shows related Christian topics like his paintings of "Holy Cecilia", his art work about the story "Susanna in the Bath" and further inspirations on "Announcements". In La Voix Humaine the art artist shows how he transported the order and structure of his announcement paintings on to his work about "LA VOIX HUMAINE" - a totally different story, In this case the artist exchanged all "actors" by remaining objects. All situations refer to the play "La Voix Humaine". The most interesting part in these paintings is again the balance of power between the painted "actors". But this time German Art Artist Iz Maglow had all people replaced by objects, that took over the position of the actors by symbolizing their habits and positions. Throne, phone, bed, table, - all isolated and surrounded or locked up by high walls. |
