It is obvious that German Art Artist Iz Maglow was very inspired by the Ceremonies in Bali. Many times he was invited to traditional "Upacara" and "Odalan", as the Balinese call their ceremonies. Each full moon and new moon has it's "Odalan". For this ceremony the women are carrying high pyramids of fruit offerings on their heads to a temple. They wear best clothes of all colours, while the men's colours are white and yellow. At very festive ceremonies the "Barong" is brought in a long procession from the village to the temple. The "Barong", a fabulous, holy being from old Hindu myths has white magic power. The "Barong" is carried by two dancer and appears with the masks of a loin, tiger, pig or cow. Touching his fur has a healing effect. During day and late night the Balinese are on the way to
their temple, bringing their offerings and stay there for praying - as
