The close relationship in subject between the Painter and Stage Designer Iz Maglow had been described by the German newspaper Memminger Kurier in 1987 as follows: "...His color-intense artwork in acrylic and mixed techniques were found on the three-dimensional stage, and in reverse the subjects of operas influenced the oeuvre of his paintings ... In this way artworks were created that only intent to reflect the play of notes and the sound of music ..." Under the headline Single Musical Note the Painter Iz Maglow presents paintings, that show only one single musical note or just a few notes in an artistic and sometimes very calligraphically painting style. These Calligraphically Note Paintings are very reduced in colors and present any
single musical note under extreme tension. |
