Musical Sounds in Expressive Art Paintings by Iz Maglow

And again: German Artist Iz Maglow came back to one of his favourite subjects and painted a series of several expressive art paintings on canvas in 2006: Colors of Music. This time the painter increases the range of the "sign language" that the artist had used in his music paintings around orchestral sounds some years ago. Now he creates strong compositions with vivid contrasts. The new expressive fine arts show similarities to the colorful structures of his fine art paintings about dancing and swinging figures.

Musical sounds are painted in expressive colors and reduced but strong ciphers, created with tempera and acrylics on canvas. Iz Maglow used lines, stripes, spirals, gratings and minimized hints of musical notes to create these expressive colors of music.

Titles like: "expressive sounds of music" or "expressive colors of music" show the artist's  intention to create a swinging, colorful paintings that reflect the acoustic sound event.
